Patrick Backman is Owner & President of Klass Ingredients.  Pat joined Klass Ingredients in June 2000. In 2003 he purchased the company from our founder, Jack Klass.  His past experience includes a total of 12 years with Cargill including 5 years with their Molasses Division, 3.5 with their Oilseeds, Protein Products division, and the remaining the 3.5 years with their Cocoa and Chocolate Division.  Pat received his BS in Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University.  His industry affiliations include IFT, NIMS and MRERF where he received his CPMR in 2004.

Pat enjoys the interesting people, places and products we come in contact with in this industry, as well as the confidence our customers place in us to help them produce innovative, and quality products. Pat is at home in Orchard Park, NY. He has two children, a son Connor, 11, and a daughter Camryn, 8.  In his spare time he enjoys reading, golf and travel.
